Here’s a little more about me.

I was born in Southern California, but I grew up and started my professional life in Southern Colorado. After my undergrad degree, I taught first at a local middle school and then a local high school for 6 years total before embarking on my graduate studies.

During my time at Adams State, I competed for the school’s NCAA DII track and field team, and I ended my athletics career with multiple RMAC championships, several All-American distinctions, two National Championship titles, and as the 2009 USTFCCCA Outdoor Track Scholar-Athlete of the Year. I like to joke I’m one of the few student-athletes who knows how to pronounce and define Verfremdungseffekt. I also really enjoy basketball, which I also played in high school, but I like watching and playing really any kind of sports.

Outside of theater and classics…

I enjoy camping and hiking, homebrewing, and, yes, playing video games. My amazing wife and I have Devon Rex cats (Left to Right: Quincy, Tompkins, and Monroe), at least one of which you’ll likely see and hear over any Zoom meeting.
